Frequently asked questions

What is a vehicle wrap?

Vehicle wrapping is a marketing practice of installing printed vinyl graphics completely or partially over a vehicle to advertise products or services. Large format digital printers are used to produce simple or photorealistic graphics. Once printed, a clear over laminate is applied to the vinyl that greatly improves the life expectancy of the wrap by providing UV, scratch and fade protection.

What does a vehicle wrap cost?

Wrap costs will vary by shop so it's important to remember that you won't always be comparing "apples to apples". Design, print quality, material and installation experience should all be considered when choosing the right wrap provider. For most service-vehicles partial wraps can start at $1200, while full wraps can be as high as $5000. Aside from the quality of material, the amount of coverage and complexity of the installation will play a factor in the final cost. We use and suggest only premium cast vinyl to ensure the best possible results and maximum life. To better estimate your project it's best to schedule an appointment with one of our representatives. We offer a free consultation at our facility that includes a survey of your vehicle. From there we can discuss any ideas you have for your wrap and offer price options that fit your goal and budget.

Will a wrap damage my vehicle?

Vinyl graphics are recommended for vehicles with good surface conditions. For the best adhesion, it is recommended that vinyl graphics be applied to factory paint. In most cases it will not damage your paint. To minimize any risk of paint damage we use only premium wrap vinyl and we survey each vehicle before production. We cannot make any guarantees when applying to poor surface conditions due to oxidation, chipping, rust or low quality previous paint jobs. If a vehicle is repainted prior to installing a vinyl wrap, the paint must cure to manufactures specifications before a vinyl wrap can be applied safely. Failure to wait for the paint manufacturer’s cure time may result in paint or clear coat damage when the vinyl wrap is removed from the vehicle’s surface.

Can you design my wrap?

Yes, we can. We have several designers on staff that have years of experience designing wraps. If you already have a designer we highly recommend they reach out to us and work with one of our staff to ensure their design accounts for handles, hardware, contours and other factors that they typically don't encounter when designing flat items.

What's the best material for vehicle wrapping?

There are many brands of vinyl on the market today but three of the top brands in the wrap industry are Orafol, Avery and 3M. Choosing the right brand really comes down to the installer's preference. Each of the three brands listed above provide quality products of various grades so it's not enough to know which brand you're getting. Vinyl materials are typically categorized as one of two types, cast or calendered. We prefer and suggest only using cast vinyl for vehicle wrapping. Cast vinyls are the industry premium being more durable and conformable, making them the best choice for vehicle applications. Calendered vinyls are best suited for flat surfaces and most sign applications.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?

We have wraps with clients that have been on the road for as long as 10 years. A realistic expectation is 3-5 years depending on how it's cared for as well as environmental conditions. Proper installation and quality material will all help to extend the life of your wrap. Keeping it clean and free of contaminants like dirt and salt will also be essential for a longer life.

Pricing for full wraps, partial wraps, and spot graphics will vary with each vehicle and design. We can provide ballpark quotes with the right information but in order to provide the most accurate quote, we always suggest scheduling a survey of your vehicle.

A survey allows us to assess the surface condition of your vehicle and confirm measurements that will directly affect the final cost. This survey will also allow us to confirm we're working with an accurate template once we reach the design phase.

If you don't have print ready design files, our team can handle the entire process in-house. Design, print, and installation. We can even help you design something within a provided budget.

Once we've determined the level of coverage that's right for you and our quote is approved, we would require a deposit to move your project to our design queue where you'll have a chance to review and revise as needed.
